This is particularly good for older dogs and dogs with limited mobility due to injury, illness, or surgery. Older dogs greatly benefit from massage.  As dogs age they become more inactive. Inactivity shortens their muscles making moving more difficult which then leads to more inactivity.  Massage can help to lengthen their muscles and increase the circulation and thereby help the dogs become more mobile again.
